Coating for water-repellent plasterboard joints, setting time 3 hours

Quick-setting adhesive-coating for joints. Quick-setting (180 minutes) coating for joints for plasterboard panels : coating system plus paper strip.

Its special formula provides a reduction in the weight of bags whilst also giving a higher yield than traditional coatings.

TECHNICAL DEFINITION

Ready-to-use powder coating specially formulated for use on tapered-edge plasterboard joints with paper tape. 


COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE

Plaster-based powder filler, calcium carbonate, resin and various admixtures.

The compound obtained is white in colour. 


TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Setting time : 3 hours

• Cracking : up to 5mm thickness with no cracking

• Density : 0.8 powder and 1.3 paste


SUPPORT AGREED

All types of tapered-edge, paper-lined plasterboard, with or without insulation (glass wool, rock wool, polystyrene). 


COATINGS

First undercoat for plasterboard. Smoothing compound.


STORAGE

9 months unopened in original packaging, away from dampness. 


INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The temperature during application and drying must be between 5°C and 30°C.

Do not apply to damp surfaces. Do not use paste that has begun to harden. 


DRYING TIME

A second coat can be applied 4 hours after the application of the first layer. 


QUANTITY OF MIXING WATER

16 litres of water per 20 kg bag. 


AMOUNT REQUIRED

Approximately 230 g/m² of plasterboard. Or 85 m² with a 20 kg bag.


RECOMMENDED APPLICATION

To prevent the formation of “chaff”, do not sand the plasterboard panel before the first undercoat is applied.
