TECHNICAL DETAILS

PROFLEX is a class C2S adhesive mortar for the application of ceramic, baked clay, mosaic tiles of large and small sizes to interior and exterior walls and floors. 

Suitable for the substrates described in the CPT documents, and in particular electric radiant flooring, the application of tiling over an unheated room without insulation, and the application of façade tiling to considerable heights (up to 28 meters).


COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE

Grey cement, sand, high resin content and various additives.

STORAGE

6 months in unopened original packing protected from damp.

FOR FLOORING HEATING, TURN IT ON, THEN OFF 24 HOURS BEFORE APPLICATION AND TURN BACK ON ONLY 48 HOURS LATER.
ENSURE THAT THE SUBSTRATES EXPOSED TO RISING DAMP ARE SEALED.
FIRST APPLY OUR PRIM S.M. PRIMER TO ANHYDRIDE SCREEDS.
FOR APPLICATION TO A SUBSTRATE WITH A FLATNESS VARIATION EXCEEDING 7 MM UNDER A 2 M RULE FIRST APPLY OUR KEDOPLAN SUPER LEVELLING COMPOUND.
DO NOT APPLY TO PLASTER OR TO A THIN COAT OF FILLER.


PREPARATION OF SURFACES BEFORE APPLICATION

Allow the substrate drying times: 48 hours for cement render, 2 months after completion of carcass work for new concrete substrates. 

In all cases, the substrates must be sound, clean, free of traces of oil and dust and mechanically strong.

The temperature of the substrate shall be no less than 5°C and no greater than 35°C.

In hot weather, or if the substrate is exposed to the sun or if it is too porous, dampen it or apply our PRIM S.M. primer.

Local unevenness can be smoothed with PROFLEX up to an 8 mm limit.


CONSUMPTION

Consumption depends on the application method and tool. As a general rule it is :
Single application 4 kg/m2.

Double application 6 kg/m2.
