REFRACTORY MORTAR

Because the refractory mortar is very fast setting, always mix in small and successive quantities.

Mortar for the indoor and outdoor assembly of refractory bricks.

Particularly suitable for the construction of chimneys (firebox and flue) or barbecues.

Special cement, sand and various additives.

The resulting mis is dark in color.

The surfaces must be clean, hard, free of dust and any trace of release agent. 

Very porous substrates, or when the weather is very hot, should first be dampened.

The temperature during application and drying must be between 5 and 35°C.

Do not use mix that has begun to set.

Around 3 to 4 l of water per 25 kg sack.

Application is to be carried out using a masonry trowel then a grouting tool.

Between two bricks form a joint approximately 1 cm wide set back between 5 and 7 mm from the edges. 

Can be put into use 24 hours after application, with a gradual temperature gradient.

Approximately 10 kg/m2 assembled.

Approximately 24 hours.
