CE 78 PASTE LIGHT
COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE

Resin, water, calcium carbonate, lightening fillers, preservative and various additives.

The resulting paste is greyish white.


SUPPORT AGREED

All types of plasterboard with or without insulation (glass wool, rock wool, polystyrene) wih tapered edges and paper facing.


TECHNICAL DEFINITION

CE 78 PATE LIGHT is a light, ready-to-use paste filler designed specially for jointing tapered edge plasterboard in combination with jointing tape.


COATINGS

Primer undercoat for plasterboard.

Smoothing filler.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS 

• Adherence of tape : > 1000 g

• Cracking : no cracking up to thickness of 5 mm

• Density : 1.7


PACK SIZE

18 kg tubs on film-wrapped pallet.


STORAGE

9 months in original unopened package, protected from damp.


SUITABLE SURFACES

Plasterboard will be attached as per DTU 25.41 25.42. 

Cut edges of boards must be bevelled and dusted.


APPLICATION

Before jointing fill gaps between boards and any irregular joints and repair any damaged board. 

Apply manually by using a 10 or 15cm filling knife and apply the tape – milled face against the board.

Then apply a finish coat, allow to dry and finish to cover the tape.

Application on metal and micro-profile corner piece. 


AMOUNT REQUIRED

Around 350g.m2 of board (500g/m2 for traditional filler)


DRYING TIME

Recoating is possible 24-48 hours after application of the first coat depending on the weather conditions. 


RECOMMENDED APPLICATION

Always keep a minimum distance of 20 cm between door or window frames and the nearest plasterboard joint.
