Application on plaster blocks :
• The laying of the first row is carried out by gluing the edge and bottom of the mortises coming up from the floor, as well as along the vertical part.
• The joints between blocks should not exceed 3 mm in thickness. the second row should be completed in the same manner, with staggered joints, before the adhesive has begun to set. This is important in order to ensure the partition wall is properly aligned.
• Allow to dry before starting the third row. Smooth the joints.
Application on plasterboard joints:
• Before carrying out the operation on the actual joints, any space between panels that are accidentally not aligned must be filled, along with any other gaps.
• The application is carried out manually, spreading the thinned the product with a coating knife across 10 or 15 cm, before laying the tape in position (with the rough side against the plaster).
• Finally, apply a finishing layer, leave to dry and finish off the surface, in order to hide the tape and the screw heads.
For water-repellent plaster blocks, the amount required is 1 kg/m².
For water-repellent plasterboard panels, the amount required is 350 g/m².
For water-repellent plaster blocks: 5 to 6 hours.
For water-repellent plasterboard: the surface can be re-coated 4-5 hours after the first layer.
If you plan to lay tiles on a partition wall made from plaster blocks, avoid coating this with a plaster-based film coating.
